Abstract

The effect of surfactants added to paracetamol  (acetaminophen) granulations as well as the effect of the method at incorporating the surtactants on some physicochemical characteristics of the tablets have been investigated. Results obtained indicate that Tween ® 80 treated granulation gave tablets with superior dissolution profile in comparison with tablets compressed tram sodium lauryl sulphate treated granulation. This was inspite of the tormer having a longer disintegration time than the latter.
