The Contribution To The Knowledge Of Nigerian Medicinal Plants
Abstract
When I met the Vice-Chancellor of the University of lfe, in 1969 in London, he suggested practical research, to bring some decision in screening Nigerian medicinal plants and to contribute to the curative potential of Nigeria, resp. to export possibilities of new materials or even products. We agreed that isolations for structural studies which is atthe present a modern field in Pharmacognosy, have no primary significance for Nigeria. This may follow when interesting physiological activities are discovered or proved.
