Drug Information In Nigeria Processes And Prospects

Abstract

Information about drugs in any society, Nigeria in particular is best obtained from persons who have been trained in the pharmacy profession, the pharmacists. Pharmacy is a knowledge system concerned with the manufacture and appropriate use of drugs in the society. It is a system which renders a health service by concerning itself with knowledge about drugs and their effects especially upon man. Pharmacy generates knowledge about drugs, acquires relevant knowledge from the biological, chemical, physical and behavioural sciences, it tests, organizes and applies that knowledge.
