Abstract

This study is aimed at establishing reference values for some at the liver function tests commoniy requested for in the management of patients in this environment. With the acknowledged differences between Africans and Caucasians, it has become imperative to produce local reference values tor Nigerians. This report is for adult Nigerians in urban Lagos as a part of a larger effort aimed at estabtishing biochemical reference baseline data for Nigeria.
