Drug Theraphy For Neurohumoral Abnormalities In CHF
Abstract
Congestive heart tailure [CHF) is on the increase in Nigeria (though there is lock at accurate epidemiological data] and mortality and morbidity rates are high. Approaches to treatment at CHF have been largely based on correcting hemodynamic abnormalities. The current understanding is that CHF results From left ventricular dystunction which leads to complex activation at neurohumoral reflexes. This paper discusses current approaches and highlights the importance of prevention and control of CHF especially for first gear econimies.
