Application Of Prodrugs For Transdermal And Dermal Drug Delivery

Abstract

ln recent times, there has  been a lot at interest in developing drug deliver systems to deliver drugs through the skin to the  systemic circulation. This interest was further stimulated by reports on the effective treatment of disease states such as motion  sickness, hypertension and angina, via the transdormal route. This has highlighted the possibility at using this route for the therapeutic management at various conditions, including particularly those diseases tor which parenteral drug delivery is currently the main method at therapy (e.g diabetes).
